Where I Belong

As the rain pounds the ground
 Like a symphony of natures rage
 To the chorus of the winds that howl
 Like the wolves in the hills
 This land is cold, Bitter and dead
 The trees are barren
 As the season brings
 Winters chill
 I sleep under a blanket of stars
 I see Mountains etched into earth
 This land shows it's strength awaiting it's rebirth
 When spring brings life to us all
 And the waters are calm, once again
 And When the land is fertile and the days are long
 And the warmth of the sun embraces my skin
 I know this is where I belong
