Embracing Waves

Come the waves,
 The layers of a life
 Scattered fragments of an untold future
 Resting deep beneath the blue
 Inflection, transition
 A watershed
 Set the sails to the land uncharted
 Let the unknown become your guide
 Each time I was washed ashore
 I questioned my beliefs
 To the point I became a stranger
 Unaware of my own self
 Till I came to realize
 I'd make the sea my home
 In the hope (that) this erratic voyage
 Would dispel this thickening mist with some light
 Come the tide,
 And will you come along?
 On this everlasting journey
 Towards the embrace of the waves
 I will seek to tame
 Both my light and shadows
 Come to terms with my defeats
 Raise the anchor, we're out to the sea
 "I'm searching, but not seeing
 I'm listening, but not hearing"
 Like water I flow now
 As an endless stream I run
 And weather the eternal storm
 Silver sea within,
 See this emerald daybreak
 That steadily weaves
 "We are the waves,
 We are the tide to come"
