The Very Beginning

We will begin and end the same
 We will return from where we came
 And hallowed be thy name that is to blame
 When we go down in flames or drown beneath the rain
 We are the chosen ones
 We are the children of the sun
 And now the ending has begun
 The battle's won but the war is lost
 When all is said and done
 We can see the early signs
 I guess the rest that we expect
 Won't be so far behind
 We are the blessing and the curse
 For better or from bad to worse
 This is god's kingdom in reverse
 Our precious earth
 Is the hell and heaven of the universe
 To all our fallen friends and family
 It will be so good seeing you again
 We will begin and end the same
 We will erase what we became
 And soon we'll all go up in flames
 And change to smoke
 That spreads our ashes
 While the dust
 Becomes the mist and joins the clouds
 Then the rain will doust the flames
 That change to cinder
 And turns the smoke into ash that makes the dust
 And, with the mist, go to the clouds
 And bring the rain to wash us all away again
