September eighth, today I feel insane
 Got too many thoughts on my brain
 I must spill 'em out on the page
 Always sayin' I'm okay
 How to know my pain?
 The only way to feel better when it hurts
 Is to put it down in words
 I'm a poet and a soldier, go-getter and a stumbler
 I'm walking barefoot in the city streets
 Laying awake when everybody sleeps
 Lil' Broken when you look closer
 Best friend and a loner
 In my feelings but I learn to be tough
 Thirty-three but I'm still growing up
 Always gonna be
 Baby
 Feel stupid when it's easy
 Always gotta make it hard
 I want everyone to see me
 But I don't wanna be the star
 Always feel like something's missing
 Im a walking contradiction
 Find the answers when I write it out
 To remind myself
