 I believe we should institute and place into effect
 Sub-limit on the total amounts which can be spent for a candidate or a party
 And to have these costs more democratically shared
 Elections now cost enormous amounts of money
 That amount is increasing with the advent of television
 This makes candidates, parties dependent upon the big contributors for funds
 Most of these big contributors want favors at the public expense after an election
 So the public now pays ten times over for the financing of our political campaign
 That in the midst of death, life persists
