In His Grip

In His grip of Grace I rest,
 Trusting not my righteousness,
 He has heard my heart's request,
 So, in His grip of grace I rest.
 I stood seperated from the King,
 With nothing in my hands,
 The bridge that led up to His throne,
 Had been broken by my sins,
 Before I even asked,
 His mercy was extended,
 Because of Calvary's sacrifice,
 The broken bridge was mended.

 Undeserving of his favor,
 Yet in His favor live,
 Shackled by my sin and shame,
 Yet freedom Jesus gives,
 Blinded by this world's delights,
 But now I plainly see,
 Lacking strength to hold to Him,
 He is holding me.
 So, in His grip of grace I rest,
