Last night was late and restless
 I became careless and reckless
 You got flooded while I sailed on
 My ship was forging to carry on
 But all awhile the winds did rage
 I knew eventually they'd fade
 And leave us stranded upon the shore
 Of an island we'd been looking for
 Now let's set things straight

 The rain still downward on us poured
 The wild things did make us shake
 Their howls and cries made the earthquake
 But little did we ever know
 Just where this journey ever seems to go
 Through all the toil
 And bleakness we have shared before
 There is a clearing on the path
 Well we can hold out we can last
