There's a tree and man atop that hill
 One goes up while the other fell
 He's gonna rise, rise
 He says let me rise higher than the trees on this mountain side
 But what the man didn't know is the fallen tree would wake
 The creatures of the night from their evil caves

 Someone's gonna pay before the sun will shine

 Well the man went back seasoned, old and grey
 With a shovel and a seed and a debt to pay
 The man dug and the man prayed
 That the creatures wouldn't wake from their evil caves
 The man cried and cried and the tree grew high
