Reboot

Sometimes all I can do is smile
 And try to move on with my life
 Hold back the tears in my eyes
 And try to pretend I'm okay inside
 Sometimes surviving is my daily feat
 And at night I forget how to feel
 Everything is working against me
 My best efforts seem to be too weak
 All broken things can work again
 If unplugged for a few minutes or repaired
 Humans have no reboot function we have to let go of the pain
 And say to ourselves I have what it takes to start again
 I'm not yet where I want to be
 But I will get there soon I believe
 Today I will not worry about things
 Beyond my control and out of my reach
 One day all this pain will make sense
 For I know better days lie ahead
 Tough times are part of the healing process
 And I'm not breaking down for anything less
