When at the table my mother she swore
 Eat just a little then leave more
 Quit while the hunger throbs in your breast
 You must remember you're here as a guest
 Went with my father to the food store
 We bought just a little we needed more
 He tried to hit the lotto number I lied 'bout my math test
 Son I trust you to remember we're here as a guest
 Oh hard hard to be on this earth
 Dark dark for me was my birth
 And the light it shone from the east and set in the west

 Fought with my brother I don't know what for
 We fought just a little then we fought no more
