This is a song about me, Dave Matthews and the band I formed
 It was what? ten years ago
 That was when it all started at the earth-day festival
 That was our first show, God I was so nervous!
 We had four songs total, maybe five
 When we got on stage it was magic
 I mean halfway through our first song
 Everybody came alive

 At the Earth-day Festival
 At a concert in Brazil

 At a Mardi Gras groovery
 Are as Chilly's as Bar and Grill

 Yeah I was nervous, but you know
 gradually you learn to overcome your fears
 I guess I've always been kind of shy
 I was what I like to call a dormroom guitarist for about seven years
