Distorted Perception

As I walk into this life
 Questioning what awaits for me
 On the other side
 Is there really an other side
 Or is there just something we make up
 To comfort our minds?
 Why must we walk (with a clouded vision)

 Why do we ignore to acknowledge reality?
 Life is a struggle
 At least that's what I've been told
 Then I tell myself
 Instead of fighting, why not embrace this
 Why go this far not to be strong?
