The weight that looms above me fills this arid chasm to the brim
 A dread that overwhelms me designs the lines wherein shapes
 Of distant, strange and often wasted memories
 That bear no meaning steal my presence of mind
 Through the trees and this tangle of weeds
 That is leading me deeper
 Desperately into a dream
 Where the reaches of fever and sickness of mind
 Can't find me
 I come to my feet and careening
 Screaming into the empty
 Looking for something
 For anything other
 Than me to carry my grief
