This Girl Taught Me A Dance

Well this girl taught me a dance called the "I don't care"
 she said to me, "it's easy, I swear"
 "stand alone over there, and watch everyone else around you care."
 although I know any eyes I make or smile that she may see
 I'll never in return receive
 as long as she's with him and not me
 Ahh that girl taught me a lousy dance
 I can't say that it helped me
 my heart done hurt from all that work
 I think I'll draw a waterfall bath
 and hold my breath
 just as long as I can see how close I can get to death
 without leaving I know there's somewhere else that we go
 so if I ever come to, or if I ever go forth

 I'm a ghost on a Saturday night
 doing the things I never did in life
 no use for money or food
 I only want to dance with you
 but I ain't dead yet
 so I guess I can have this dance
