I been in the backyard, outside by the shed
 fillin' up a rusted bucket with the troubles in my head

 Can I hold my arms up to the sky and touch that golden sun?

 Can I reach the other side? - Yeah you can!
 Lay my burden down? - Yeah you can!
 Can I bear stormy weather? Take you by the hand?
 And can we go together? And roam this lonesome land?
 Can I find light in the darkness? Find shelter in the storm?
 Can I wander all those miles and find my way back home?
 Can I cross that river? - Yeah you can!
