Said the metropolis to the ocean depths, amidst its vast and murky expanses
 For how much longer must we all hold our stale breaths?
 Our lungs are stretched
 And will we ever stop feeling anxious, and when will we rest?
 Our laurels have been picked
 And then the tides boldly replied in the waves did roar
 Against the open shores
 Timelessness is but a mere instant and you missed it
 It slipped right through the cracks and in between your calloused fingertips
 And there it goes again
 Said the blind fawn to the circled pack of predators that had gathered in the
 wooded clear
 I never once questioned my life's purpose or my self worth
 And as the saliva strands soaked into the earth, she spoke these final words
 And a serene hush fell throughout the forest
 Her infant voice was ominous
 Timelessness is but a mere instand and you missed it
 It slipped right through the cracks and in between your calloused fingertips
 And there it goes again
 Fuck it, it cannot be caught
 There are no pauses in this bleak and tragic drama
