Trail and Error

This predicament I put us in
 Is almost silly sad enough
 Think I'm breaking down enough
 To make me laugh out loud
 The situation is, I guess
 I took our lives and made a mess
 Would it help if I confess
 It doesn't make me proud
 And I'm laying in my bed
 And there's scary thoughts in my head
 'cause I'm leaving, are you staying in love with me?
 Here's a couple of things I want you to know
 If you want me to stay I don't wanna go
 If you think I should leave
 But you're hanging on and never letting go
 No more trial and error
 When we're not together I find myself in stormy weather
 When we're not together, telephone calls, I miss you letters
 No more trial and error
