Ribbon Of Highway

Rolling down that ribbon of highway
 I've gone another mile, another day
 Going places I ain't never been
 Seeing things I'll never see again
 But I'm gonna keep on keeping on
 Til the memories leave me alone
 And the pain I felt is finally gone
 Then I'll make my way home
 So many years I kept it all inside
 Wrecked my emotions and wounded my pride
 Feeling guilty over leaving you
 Blaming myself for things I didn't do
 Now that it's over and so perfectly clear
 It's amazing that I'm even here
 I'll carry scars that no one will see
 But my sole is finally free

 I grow stronger with every step I take
 I had to fight for this survivor
