Wer macht den Himmel blau Papa
 Und manchmal dunkelgrau Papa
 Warum kommt aus der Sonne soviel Licht
 Und wer hat in der Nacht Papa
 Die Sterne angebracht Papa
 Warum muß ich jetzt schlafen und du nicht
 Und ich bin es nicht gewöhnt
 Daß mich wer Vater nennt

 Weil ich viel zu wenig weiß
 Fragt ein Kinderaugenpaar

 Meinem Vater verziehn
 So wie er mich gelenkt
 Tat er nur aus purem Instinkt

 Einfach Vater zu dir
