The fox went out one chilly night
 He prayed for the moon to give him lights
 For he had many a mile to go that night

 And he slung a duck across his back

 Old mother Flipper Flapper jumped out of bed
 She ran to the window when she put out her head
 She cried, "John, John the grey goose is gone

 Well, then John he ran to the top of the hill
 He blowed his horn both loud and shrill
 The fox he said I'll be thrilled to kill those on my trail-o, trail-o, trail-o
