She's working hard almost every single day
 Worried about what everyone will say
 But they've never walked a single step in her shoes
 And she doesn't want to be that story you hear in the news
 She's worried about times when she's not at home
 Leaving the kids with him all alone
 She prays at night for their soles to keep
 As he stays up and drinks himself to sleep
 And she dreams of a change to come along
