Crowded Isolation

With every step, I hesitate
 In a world too fast
 It's hard to move beyond my own door
 How can I get away from eyes that are empty?
 And look inside
 To hearts so cold
 Surrounded by faces
 That have no names
 I'll take to the streets, pave a new way
