What child is this who laid to rest
 On Mary's lamp he's sleeping
 Whom angels greet with anthems sweet
 When shepherds watch are keeping
 Why lies he is in such mean estate
 Where Ox and as are feeding
 Good Christians fear or sinners here
 The silent word is pleading
 This, this is Christ the king
 Whom shepherd's guard and angels sing

 Man of sorrows, head of the church
 Master, faithful and true witness
 Rock, the door, high priest
 Living waters, bread of life
 Alpha and Omega, true vine, Messiah
 Teacher, holy one, mediator
 The beloved, branch, carpenter
 Good shepherd, light of the world
 The word, image of the invisible God
 Chief cornerstone, savior
 Author and finisher of our faith
 The almighty everlasting father
 Lion of the tribe of Judah
 I am king of kings, prince of peace
 Bridegroom, only begotten son
 Wonderful counselor, Immanuel
 Son of man, king of the Jews
 Prophet, redeemer, anchor
 Son of God, bright morning star
 The way, the truth and the life
 Jesus Christ
 So bring him incense, gold and myrrh
 Come peasant king to own him
 The king of kings salvation brings
 While loving hearts enthrone him
