If you see her, say hello
 She might be in Tangier
 She left here last early spring
 Took awhile in, she was gone

 Things that kind obvious ain't miss
 She might wonder where I am by now
 If she don't know let her guess
 We had a falling-out
 Like lovers sometimes do
 And the words we sent to each other that night
 Still hurt me through and through
 But I know it had to be that way
 It pierced me to the heart
 But the bitter taste go on
 It all came down so hot
 
 I see a lot of people
 As I circuit right
 But I only think of her that night
 And the sun light has died
 And I never really swallowed
