Point of Faith

Kneeling at the altar
 Digging in the graves
 Searching through the wreckage
 And the debris of my sins
 For a single vow to save me...
 There's a battle raging in the
 Silence of the night
 Is this blood upon my skin?
 I lie unwrapped and naked
 'neath the weeping tree of life
 No comfort left within me...
 From a point of faith within my head
 I believe in all the choices I have made
 From a point of love within my heart
 I forgive myself for all of my mistakes
 From a point of faith...
 From a point of love...
 Do we seek salvation
 In somebody else?
 I prayed to a tin god in
 The temple of the sun
 And simply lost myself there
 Now in the lands I live in
 My life has come undone...
 And I am left alone as one...
 But there's a peace in silence
 That leaves me overcome
 A quiet voice within me...
 From a point of trust within my eyes
 I can see that I must look beyond the pain
 From a point of grace within my soul
 I release myself from taking all the blame
 From apoint of trust...
 From a point of grace...
 Let me walk in fields of my own goodness...
 Let me lie no more with my regrets...
 From a point of faith within my head

 I will embrace myself and I won't be afraid
 From a point of faith, from a point of love
 From a point of trust and from a point of grace
 And I'll forgive myself

 And I will trust myself
 And I'll have faith...
